For more than 20 years I've led, served, taught, and learned alongside people from every walk of life. Today I help people build the confidence and knowledge to steward their money well, so they can spend less time worrying about money and more time living with purpose.
Building trust starts with a real conversation, not a sales pitch. That is the foundation everything here is built on.
The military years
Before finance, there was the Army. Twenty years taught me how to lead leaders, solve problems, make decisions under pressure, and serve something bigger than myself. Those lessons still shape how I approach financial education today.
Working with thousands of new people every year taught me about value, transparency, and ego. But the biggest lesson was this: everyone rises when the team wins. That shaped my drive to work alongside people and help them grow, which is still what I care about most.
Worship and leadership
Alongside my career, I've led in worship and served in church leadership. It is the same posture of service, in a different room. I do not believe people need to be told the answers. They need someone willing to walk alongside them, help them understand their options, and give them the tools to make better decisions.
Worship has also taught me the weight of community. Growth rarely happens alone. It happens in fellowship, in showing up for each other, and in serving something bigger than yourself. That same spirit carries into how I show up for the people I work with.
Why finance
When I retired from the military, I took a hard look at conventional wisdom, where it came from, and whether it held up. I did not find complete answers. That gap is why Mission Ready exists. This is not about work. It is about family, stability, and support.
What I actually help with is setting goals, not just growing a number. Making as much money as possible isn't a goal in itself. It's the direction conventional wisdom optimizes for, which is exactly why so many dollars never get earmarked for anything real. A real goal is specific and reachable, and it tells you what each dollar is actually for. That is what I offer: real goals, and a plan to meet them, so you can build a life worth living, surrounded by love, not just money.
